Many factors go into evaluating paint & stains. In general, as paint quality increases, so does the price of paint. Quality paints use higher cost components, which translate into higher product costs. Though this is not always the case, but it is a strong indicator of quality.
Quality paint will have a high percentage of solids. The more solids, the more dry paint left on the application as the liquid evaporates. A higher concentration of solids will make the paint flow better during application and require fewer coats.
Also, quality paints will contain prime pigments that cover better and higher percentages of acrylic binders in latex paints that allow better bonding and higher resistance to cracking.
Many of the products that we offer are hand made, hand-casted, and hand finished. We pride ourselves with providing opportunity to artisans who can continue to make products with the traditional old world methods passed down to them through generations. This not only ensures high quality and unique designs but continuity of old world craftsmanship by purposeful employment. We firmly believe that providing a living wage to all artisans in our global village enhances their lives and helps them attain respectful living standards.
All our collections are made for lifelong use; the exceptional, weather resistant, powder coating is baked on to ensure our customers will enjoy each piece for many years to come.
Powder coating, in the advanced and easy way of spraying a thin dry plastic powder paint onto an iron surface, creates an esthetically pleasing protective surface. After being placed in an oven at a high temperature the paint liquefies to creates a gorgeous flat or metallic finish. Powder coating is environmentally friendly and no solvents are used to pollute the air.
Powder Coated Iron Care: Most recommend powder coating because it tends to be more durable than other coloring for indoor and outdoor use. This coating could use a cleaning with soap and water from time to time.
